And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world’s resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it.”
The year is now 2009 and still the situations in many areas of the Dominican Republic require great amounts of aid. After years of organizations pouring money and countless amounts of manpower into helping the people of the DR, there is still little significant progress to show. This is where the Dominican Aid Society comes in. It is our mission to provide a sustainable future for the impoverished peoples of the DR by providing aid that treats the deep lying causes of the problems, not only the surface level issues.
